Shaping the Future: Strategic Plan 2025-2030

Impact North Shore’s New Strategic Framework

At Impact North Shore, our vision is clear: an inclusive and equitable North Shore where all im/migrants have the opportunity to thrive. To guide our work into the future, we have developed a new five-year strategic plan that reflects our values, deepens our commitments, and responds to the evolving needs of the communities we serve.

Every five years, we undertake a strategic planning process to reimagine how we can best fulfill our mission. This year, that process brought together the voices of staff, clients, board members, and community partners in a series of creative visioning activities, surveys, consultations, and interviews. Through this collective effort, we crafted a new strategic framework to carry us through 2025 to 2030.

This new framework is grounded in three core strategic pillars:

  • Health & Wellbeing
    We believe that social factors affect the health and wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities.
    We are committed to taking a holistic approach to our work: supporting newcomer health through impactful programming, advancing health equity through multi-sectoral partnerships, and fostering a positive and engaged work environment for our team.
  • Leadership & Collaboration
    We believe that equitable, resilient communities require collaborative leadership.
    We are deepening our commitment to collective leadership. This means intentionally engaging diverse voices, listening closely to our community, and creating space for shared decision-making. Our approach centres equity, lived experience, and relationship-building.
  • Adaptability & Transformation
    We believe that we need to be proactive and adaptable in order to thrive.
    As we look to the future, we are investing in innovation and strategic thinking: enhancing service quality, expanding partnerships, and building capacity across our internal systems to meet emerging needs.

Each pillar includes focused goals across our areas of work: Immigrant Services, Community Engagement, and Operations. These priorities are supported by Strategic Enablers: tools that ensure we are continuously learning, applying anti-oppression and Reconciliation practices, and fostering purposeful collaboration.

Our mission and vision continue to guide our work. We remain dedicated to offering comprehensive and innovative services for newcomers and to strengthening inclusion and equity. Our updated values (Responsibility to Our Communities, Working Together, and Upholding Each Other) continue to shape how we work with integrity and care.

This plan reflects who we are today and who we aspire to be tomorrow. It is a product of community wisdom, shared leadership, and a collective belief in the strength and potential of im/migrants.
