Annual Impact Report 2022-2023

In the last year, we have engaged with multiple community partners to mobilize knowledge, wisdom and tools to increase im/migrant belonging and leadership. This year a highlight of our community engagement and innovation work included working with 70+ community service partners, local leaders and newcomers to establish a new strategic plan for the North Shore that will guide the work of im/migrant inclusion over the next 5 years.

Impact North Shore has supported immigrants and migrants (im/migrants) with settlement information, family programming, attachment to local schools and communities, employment services, and a wide range of English language learning opportunities.

Annual Impact Report 2020-2021

After 30 years of dedicated service to our community as the North Shore Multicultural Society (NSMS), we have updated our name to represent our scope of work and vision for the future. At its heart, our new brand carries the belief that lasting social change requires partnership and collaboration to achieve equity and belonging in our communities. We are so excited to share our updated brand with you, showcasing our new name, Impact North Shore, for the first time through this Annual Report.

2019-2020 was an outstanding year for the North Shore Multicultural Society with many highlights. Over 8,300 individuals and their families accessed our many settlement, employment, language, and community connections services that support newcomers in building a bright future in Canada.

The North Shore Multicultural Society has once again demonstrated incredible commitment and dedication to supporting newcomers to settle in our North Shore communities. In 2018-2019 record numbers of clients accessed our broad range of settlement, employment, language, and family programming. We were proud to launch new services for temporary foreign workers, post-secondary international students, and refugee claimants

Annual Report 2017-2018

The North Shore Multicultural Society (NSMS) has had another remarkable year! We have seen the numbers of clients accessing our services and programs continue to climb. Over 5,200 newcomers and immigrants participated in services and programs. 3,800 clients utilized settlement services; 3,100+ accessed our employment centre, and 1,800+ attended language learning and testing services.
