2024-2025 Chair & ED’s Message

At Impact North Shore, we know that belonging doesn’t happen by chance, it’s something we build together. This year’s annual report, “Strengthening Belonging Through Collective Action,” reflects the power of working in partnership with im/migrants, community members, and organizations to create a more inclusive and equitable North Shore.

Over the past year, more than 8,500 im/migrants received support through Impact North Shore’s programs and services. From health and employment to language support and youth programs, our work has been shaped by listening closely to the needs of the community and responding with care, collaboration, and expertise.

Some key highlights from 2024–2025 include:

  • Supporting over 4,500 im/migrants with health-related information, mental wellness resources, and referrals to services that improve wellbeing.
  • Providing over 600 newcomers with specialized employment support through our youth employment programs, mentoring opportunities, and programs that support self-employment.
  • Expanding our services for families, children, and youth, including initiatives for middle years children and school readiness for children entering kindergarten and lower grades.
  • Strengthening our collective leadership by engaging diverse voices, deepening partnerships, and centering community knowledge in our approach.
  • Developing a new multi-year strategic plan grounded in equity, community voice, and shared leadership, to guide our growth and deepen our impact in the years ahead.

This report highlights the tangible impact of our work across all program areas. Through data, stories, and reflections, it illustrates how Impact North Shore’s approach, grounded in equity, care, and collaboration, supports im/migrants to navigate challenges, access opportunities, and build a sense of belonging. It also celebrates the strength and resilience of the communities we serve, and the collective effort it takes to create lasting change.

Together, we are making belonging possible, not just through words, but through action.

Thank you for being part of this shared journey.

With gratitude,

Yang Wang (Board Chair)
