The North Shore Anti-Racism Network, funded by the Province of British Columbia, engaged 20+ partner organizations to develop the North Shore Racism Response Protocol. The Protocol provides information and strategies of reducing harm and increasing safety across the North Shore by suggesting effective responses to incidents of racial discrimination and hate.
99% of the 100 community participants at the Protocol Launch event reported the Protocol and associated tools will help them and others to prioritize safety and prevention when responding to racist events. Community members also report the Protocol is helpful for knowing how to document and report events, access supports, and provide care to those who experience or witness racist incidents.
